Why 'Summer River'?

Investing is a long, slow current. Picks made upstream — the research, the patience, the ethical screen — shape what flows downstream into your portfolio. The notes here are written from upstream: early ideas, evolving views, and finished decisions. Moreover, your own investments can act as a flowing river for you in the future — nourishing your quality of life consistently.

Common questions

Is anything here financial advice?
No. Everything is educational and personal — what I do, not what you should do. For personalized advice, book a consultation or talk to a licensed advisor in your country.
Can I just copy these portfolios?
You can — but think first. My time horizon, risk tolerance, tax situation, and currency may not match yours. The portfolios are a starting point for your own research, not a recipe.
What if I only have a small amount to invest?
That's fine. Many of the portfolios use accessible Canadian and US tickers. A consultation is the best way to figure out a sensible starting point.
Why don't you sell products or take commissions?
Because I want what I write to be honest, not steered by what pays best. The site is funded by subscriptions and the three services above. That's it.
How do I get a clearance code?
They're shared privately — usually after a consultation, or as a thank-you to long-term readers. Get in touch via the contact page if you'd like to ask.
